Carlos Silva followed his worst performance of spring training with his best, pitching five shutout innings Thursday night during the Minnesota Twins’ 10-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Silva is in line to be the Twins’ fifth starter despite his poor spring training. He gave up nine runs in only 3 1-3 innings against Pittsburgh on Saturday, boosting his ERA to 11.02.
