Reds activate C David Ross, who has recovered from concussion (AP)
Catcher David Ross was activated by the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, 15 days after he went on the disabled list with a concussion. Ross took the spot of catcher Ryan Jorgensen, who was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Monday. Ross was hurt in a home plate collision with San Diego’s Mike Cameron on Aug.

Catcher Ryan Jorgensen’s first grand slam helped 29-year-old Tom Shearn win his long-awaited major league debut Sunday, and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Florida Marlins 9-3 for their sixth straight victory.
