Reds manager Dusty Baker completed his staff Tuesday by hiring Chris Speier as his bench coach, then immersed himself in learning the nuances of his new team. He also got ready to do some recruiting. Speier was Baker’s third-base coach with the Chicago Cubs in 2005 and 2006, when the team changed managers after a last-place finish in the NL Central.
