Matt Stairs homered off new Reds closer Francisco Cordero, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat Cincinnati 8-4 on Sunday for their first victory of spring training. Blue Jays starter A.J. Burnett allowed two runs and three hits in two innings, throwing 21 of his 35 pitches for strikes. A broken nail on the index finger of his pitching hand is preventing him from throwing curveballs.
